      Guys and gals.

I am trying to design a new Tattoo and need to edit either some txt or a picture of some txt to get it into the right shape.

I havent got a scooby what to look for or where to get it.

My experience goes as far as making stickmen (with willys) on paint so nothing degree level as i just wont cope with it.

I have heard about photoshop but its not specifically photos i want to edit.

Any help recieved will be greatfully appreciated.

      P.

Check out GIMP and see if you like it. Its open source and completely free, so it is definitely worth a look. Personally, I like it a lot.

      GIMP - for Windows

Its solid and i couldnt even import an image.

I want to be able to bend txt or pics into a u shape ala word art style but have a lot more controll over how big and what type of bend etc.

      lmao!!

Not sure what to suggest to be honest unit , i use photoshop but thats more complicated than GIMP by a long shot. Something like the old photo software that used to come with epson printers would be ideal , it had big images to what each button done and everything ( im not taking the piss mate, just saying how simple it was lol ) .

I cant remember what its called , i have a butchers at my old CD's in the loft laters and see if ive got a copy. Although they were for XP so not sure if they will work on vista or win 7 . Sure there will be patch for them though.

      ******s, lol.

Yeah I am at a loss to be fair. I just want it to look right before going to the docs for the mods. Its my Spurs tattoo afterall.

It is a simple peice of txt or a screen shot of some txt from a web page (so a bitmap image) that i want bent to fit around my neckline.

Its gonna hurt like a motha fooker I know but it will be well worth it.

Yeah i been about on the net a bit and cant find anything i want.

I will sort it if worse comes then i will just go with a straight line of txt and get him to draw it on nice and bendy kinda...........earn his cash.

I would rather it was printed in shape though as human error is taken out of the equation.

That would make a very unique tattoo...and an interesting talking point.

I can't get to grips with PS. Despite working in a big web design company, I'm no graphgic designer. So I get by and accomplish what I need by using Fireworks. I'd recommend this as it is basically a cut-down version of PS and they both come from Adobe.

      PLY nice one mate.

Where do I get this little number from? Will it also cost me a bloody arm and a leg if I get a legit one...........Not that I would get a hooky one of course

I have got a couple sitting in my task tray now called Gimp 2 and Coral Draw.

TBH they are dificult as a mother fooker to use.

I went to the Tattooist and he sorted it all for me anyway but it would be nice to have somthing for future designs.
