ok, doubt anyone on here is that knowledgable on excel, but really hoping they are!
I'm currently working on a project for work and was wandering if anyone could point me in the right direction.
I have set up a front input sheet(worksheet 1) where you type in someones personal data, a second work sheet where data will be stored, and three worksheets which are letters. The idea is that you input the data in the first worksheet and press the button which saves it to the second data worksheet, and also copies that data (name and address) onto the third which then prints.
I have this set up as a macro which was fairly easy to do.
however, its been a while since my university days and am now stuck. what i would like it to do is determine if the persons details have already been entered, if its the first entry on the spreadsheet to print the first letter (sheet 3) second entry to print the second letter (sheet 4) or 3rd entry to print the third letter (sheet 5). i would like it to look up the surname and forename stored in different cells from the input sheet 1 on the data sheet 2.
Could someone please point me in the right direction as to what formula i need to do this as im starting to pull what little hair i have out!
