That's one of the best goals I've seen in 20 plus years of watching football.

That was amazing in 4 ways:

      1) the weak foot trap was sublime, very hard especially since it was coming over the shoulder and to his weak foot. So that in itself is a lot harder than it looks.

      2) to chip it over the moving defenders head like that takes a lot of touch and body control, considering how fast he was going.

      3) the bicycle kick... no words. It was moving and it was perfect.

      4) He created it all himself and he knew what he was doing the entire time. He had not only the confidence but the ability to pull off such an amazing goal.

It's a shame because Derdiyok I think would be an excellent replacement for Pavlyuchenko but after this goal his price is going way up

On the level of goals like these for difficulty

A players value is not going to sky-rocket, simply because they scored an outstanding goal lol.

      It just might

No you're right, but usually when a player scores a goal like this they start scoring more and have a better season. It's his first of the year and I expect more.

      It's happened before....

When a player scores a screamer that's 'unknown' or 'little known' fans/media people tend to take notice, with better exposure comes competition that agents will exploit and as a result a players value can be raised.

Ibra comes to mind, he was sold to Juve soon after. There were other circumstances that led to the sale but no doubt the buzz he created raised his profile for a team like Juve, at the time Italian Champions.

In my FM game, Spurs bought Derdiyok and he was top scorer for 2 seasons running. Fired the team to 2nd place and league champions. lol

I was playing Notts County btw.

Derdyok is a great Talent , and yeah this goal is the best Goddamn goal that i've seen since a long time
but i would prefer to get Papise Demba Cisse to replace pavlyuchenko ,because this guy is a goalscoring machine ...

I think Zlatan was already destined to do things like that even before his time in amsterdam.. he already had drawn lots of attention of the football world when he played in sweden with goals and moves like that..

but he still had to "convince" others he could do it anywhere..

talking about confidence and arrogance, that guy uses it to perfection to make others look like babies.. well used to do it.. now he complains about not getting enough ball contact.. hahah.. people don't wanna pass the ball to him, hahah.. that can be a mistake.. cause look what he is capable of.. just look at his highlight videos and give him the damn ball more often (talking about his current team mates of course)..

Yeah that's why I made a similar comparison to Derdiyok. I've rated him for awhile now but to most he's probably less known, things like that goal will make more people take notice and like you say prove he can do it.

If I remember correctly Zibra was linked to us before he moved to Ajax.

I am the first to admit, i don't know this guy.. but i will probably remember him now because of this.. or hes now on my map so to say..

no wonder i don't know who he is, i don't even know who's first in the bundesliga now.. and its not that hard to find that out.. it just shows my interest in football nowadays.. it's clinicly dead..
