In the past, when we've had neither Woody nor Ledders to call upon, we've had to rely on a makeshift partnership involving Michael Dawson and anyone from Vedran Corluka, Tom Huddlestone or Didier Zokora. A Squad for success?

Posted 29-01-2009 at 03:51 PM by basskadet
Before I start I am going to say from the off that I do not expect next year to be 'our year'. it may turn out to be, it may not, but I feel that we always jinx ourselves with such claims & so I am going to stick with merely assessing our improvements as a squad rather than the successes they will bring.

At the beginning of this season we were all very excited about the weeks ahead. That excitement quickly evaporated to be replaced with concern & then despair. However, I want...

Is the Crunch about to change our fortunes?

Dear Sir / Madam

I am writing to you so that I may express my sentiments on the persecution of the sixteen Spurs fans who allegedly sang homophobic and racially motivated chants regarding Sol Campbell during Tottenham’s visit to Fratton Park on the 28th September 2008.

Although I was not actually present at the match myself, I do know exactly which chants have caused offence and I have to admit that I am a little perplexed by the witch-hunt that has since come about....

The Tsar of Tottenham

Posted 26-11-2008 at 05:05 PM by basskadet
As if we ever doubted Pav would come good!

Pavlyuchenko was attracting criticism from some quarters the second he stepped on the pitch in a Spurs shirt. If you were to look at it in the sole terms of goals returned then Pava's first few games were a massive disappointment. However, most of us Spurs fans were prepared to look a little deeper than that. There's no question that he looked slightly off the pace but then he had just played half a season in Russia to a different tempo...
