MSU v. Duke tomorrow at Duke. To be honest im not sure how my Spartans will fare down in north carolina. hopefully we can pull off a W, but if not i'm not too worried about it. Izzo's mentality seems to be all about gaining experience before the Big10 regular season and march madness.

As for the rest of the Big10 /ACC challenge, the Big10 won't start winning it all until teams like minnesota start winning their games. granted they had multiple players out due to injuries / suspensions, but cmon now, win one for your conference!
either way, my predictions for the rest of the games.

      OSU v. FSU - OSU
UNC v. Illinois - UNC (at UNC)
      Purdue v. Va.Tech - Purdue
      Indiana v. BC - Indiana
NC St. v. Wisco - Wisco
      Maryland v. PSU - PSU
Ga. Tech v. Northwestern - NU (at NU)
      UofM v. Clemson - Clemson
Iowa v. Wake Forest - WF

overall 6-5 adv. Big10. maybe this will be the Big10's year!

      GO BLUE!!!!

We have a young, young team this year. We start three freshman, a sophomore, and a junior. Played Syracuse close, only lost by 3. Clemson will be a tough match up, but we did beat them back a few years ago in the tourney.

Beilein is a good coach. His teams will play you close and can sneak one if you don't respect the opponent.

Love college basketball. ACC/Big 10 challenge is a very good event.

at clemson though, and with that young team that will be the difference maker. I see them running away with it in the end. winning by double figures.

Naw, it'll be close. They will win in the end, for the homcourt reason you mentioned. Also, there is no way PSU beats Maryland. Maryland played both Pitt and Illinois tough. Penn State has Talor Battle and absolutely nobody else. The have no presence down low. Jordan Williams will go off.

My adopted team because of location UNLV is 6-0. Wins over Wisconsin, Tulsa and Va Tech. The seem to start well every year then go out in the 1st or 2nd round of the tournament, playing Kansas doesn't help but they should have beaten UNI.

SC is 4-4, the Pac-10 looks god awful again this year. But he maybe we can do a job on FUCLA again this season, that's all I care about with Trojan basketball really.

Has joined the Maui Classic as the real beginning of the basketball season for me. Duke will beat MSU, but a down year (couple of years really) for the ACC. On the other hand Wake just beat Iowa, so who knows. Watching FSU-OSU right now, two very athletic teams.

I really like that 24 hours of basketball event that ESPN has. I have a TV at my job and it's cool to literally watch basketball from the when I go to bed, to when wake up, all through work, and when I get home. That to me is the official opening of the basketball season.

UofM dominated last night. I still don't think they will be good enough in Big10 play though. Maybe they will get a spot in the NCAA tourney, but you never know.

The Big10 is up 4-2 after the 2nd night. If the Big10 can win at home then we will win the challenge for the first time since its beginning (I believe, could be wrong).
      Go Big10!

We (Big 10) won last year for the first time. I believe U of I sealed it with a crazy win.

      Boiler up tonight!

well, seeing as you have like 20 teams in that conference i'd hope you would have some good ball clubs. i'll take a big10 hoops squad over a comparable big east squad any day.

You should just have a Big East Challenege, Big 10/ACC combined have about the same number of schools.

haha, sometimes it does seem like that eh? However with TCU coming into the fold i wonder if Notre Dame is all but going as i can't see us having 17 B-ball schools. unless someone else is leaving that i am not aware of. Still don't understand why TCU is coming to the Big east?!?!

They want to be in an auto qualification conference for a bcs bowl game in football. that makes for a heck of a trip for the other sports teams when they have to travel over 1700 miles if they play uconn. that'll be real fun for them.
