Strange article, blood clots are more common than you might imagine and the treatment is pretty standard, blood thinners for 6-9 months being the norm. You can normally return to a full active lifestyle after 2-3 weeks not months. Prescribed blood thinners are not a banned substance so I don't see why Cahill can't be back playing in less than a month ......

I think that is why they are airing on the side of caution.
