He deserves every single penny in my opinion.
Definitely deserves it....
I wonder how much the signing bonus was?
I hope I can earn that much in my lifetime.

bloody hell and people say real football players are overpaid.
The Blindside is a great film, Sandra Bullock's character summed up how NFL players are paid with this quote:
"Now, y'all would guess that more often than not, the highest paid player on an NFL team is the quarterback. And you'd be right. But what you probably don't know is that more often than not, the second highest paid player is, thanks to Lawrence Taylor, a left tackle. Because, as every housewife knows, the first check you write is for the mortgage, but the second is for the insurance. The left tackle's job is to protect the quarterback from what he can't see coming. To protect his blind side. "
Exactly, which is one of the reasons why the Colts were nowhere the Superbowl last season. Too many injuries and not enough protection for Manning. I went to see the Colts against the Cowboys in Indy last December. I still can't figure out how the Colts managed to lose that one - even allowing for injuries.
The difference is NFL players are paid fairly whereas footballers are regularly overpaid considering the turnover/expenses of most "big clubs". You could argue that United shouldn't be paying anyone 200k per week but because winning meaning more then turning a profit they do. A-Rod makes 25 million a year, the profit the Yankees regularly show you can say it's deserved.
@Mike The Yid
Isn't Rooney on 200K?
Not 25 million but still aint peanuts. That's like 16 million dollars.
