Tottenham Hotspur host Blackburn Rovers, who were one of the original 12 members of the Football League, in the 13th round of Premier League matches on Saturday afternoon.

This will be the 107th time the two teams have met.

Tottenham's association with Blackburn goes back to even before the two clubs played each other. The young lads who were the early members of Hotspur FC (later to be called Tottenham Hotspur) took the afternoon off from their friendly football fixtures to watch the 1884 FA Cup Final at the old Crystal Palace between Blackburn Rovers and Queens Park from Glasgow, Scotland.

The lads were so impressed with ...

It seems to have become a bit predictable. A game is there for us to really get our season off and running and start to build some momentum and yet we fail to seize it.

I personally thought that we played pretty well against Sunderland, although a little predictable. With the amount of creative talent we have in our team we very rarely get in behind teams with slide through balls. Bale has obviously been singled out by most managers as a threat, so why doesn't Harry ask him to instead of always receiving the ball and then running at the full back, to play on the shoulder and stretch the game? We seem to have stagnated in our play recently and have made it all to easy for the opposition ...

Tottenham Hotspur host Sunderland, who were the first club outside the original 12 members to join the Football League, in the 12th round of Premier League matches on Tuesday night.

This will be the 109th time the two teams have met.

The first meeting came at Northumberland Park in March 1898 when Spurs were playing in the Southern League in a friendly which Sunderland won 2-0.

A second meeting followed with the year when Spurs beat Sunderland 2-1 in the old second round (today's fourth round) of the FA Cup in February 1899.

Tottenham's first visit to Sunderland came during a mini tour of the North-East to celebrate the ...

After an absolutely stunning victory over European Champions, Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night, speculation has increased rapidly over the departure of some of the top performers on the night, and indeed the key performers for Spurs in the last year or so, namley Luka Modric and Gareth Bale.

In recent years, Spurs have had their heroes and most recently Micheal Carrick and Dimitar Berbatov were among the better perfomers in a Spurs top to reach hero status among the White Hart Lane faithful. Whilst Spurs fans are used to having a talisman or two within the squad, we are just as used to seeing them grow delusional at The Lane and seek a move to a "Bigger ...

Having spent the last few days skipping around the world wide interweb just soaking up the Spurs love-in I just wanted to comment on how nice it is, not just to be doing so well as a team in our 1st Champion's League adventure, but to have a team so exciting & entertaining that people who had ignored us for so long are now not just taking notice, they're painting themselves Lilywhite & jumping head-1st into the Tottenham mania!

The Champion's League has even better global coverage than the Premier League & I've read numerous comments on various sites saying how they had never really watched Spurs before as our games are not too frequently broadcast in their country, ...

At the start of the season when the highly anticipated UEFA Champions League Group Stage draw was made, this was the fixture that everyone associated with Tottenham Hotspur had been looking for, and what all the hard work last term and that magical night at Eastlands was for. Can we match Europes best? Can we be more than a side "making up the numbers" in this years competitions? These questions were answered emphatically.

After the disappointment and the controversy from the weekends fixture at Old Trafford, the lads had the chance to put everything right against European Champions, Inter Milan. Harry made two changes from the side that faced Manchester United. Tom Huddlestone ...

Tottenham Hotspur visit Bolton Wanderers (one of the 12 founder members of the Football League in 1888-89) in the early kick-off in the 11th round of Premier League matches on Saturday.

This will be the 101st time the two teams have met.

The first meeting came at Northumberland Park in April 1898 when Spurs were playing in the Southern League in a friendly which was drawn 2-2. A further friendly was played at the same venue in November 1899 which Spurs won 4-0.

The clubs first met in Football League action during Tottenham's first season in the competition with Spurs winning both matches 2-1 at home and 1-0 away during 1908-09. ...

What a great night, we absolutely had Inter off their game for all but about 8 minutes. And we did it (despite the descriptions of the TV pundits) with a combination of great contributions.

Modric was absolutely electric in the first 30 minutes, not only did he create the goal, but he controlled the play and allowed us to keep possession and set the tempo of the game, when other players were still just settling in. After a bit though, he started to make a few mistakes.

Just in time for Bale to perk up and spread the field back out for us. I don't really need to comment on him tonight. The most amazing thing about him is he is doing it all with just a left foot. Imagine ...

Sources close to the Club have reported that a shocking £25 Million bid will be made by Tottenham Hotspur for the current Real Madrid striker and former Lyon player to play at White Hart Lane, next summer.

Benzema, a 22 year old French International is said to be unhappy that he is being used merely as a substitute rather than a starter by manager, Jose Mourinho. Sources closer to the player said that he would love to play in the Premiership because it would be a new challenge.

The sale of Benzema would pave the way for Real Madrid to make a shocking bid of their own. Sources close to Real Madrid's President, Florentino Perez said that despite signing a new contract, ...

We travel to United for the late Saturday kick off this week, for what promises to be an enthralling 90 minutes of attacking football, good refereeing and usually a positive outcome......if you're a United fan. For the Spurs faithful, it will be 90 minutes of hell, where we get screwed over by the ref and inevitably lose the game having been 16-0 up in the first half.........bitter much?

This week I have felt an amazing amount of sympathy for all of the older Yids than myself, for they have had the heartbreaking experience that is Old Trafford more times than I have. The feeling of “we have to beat them sometime....” rings loud and proud out of most Spurs fans at this ...
