Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United meet for the second time this season on Sunday at White Hart Lane. It is obvious to any person who has even the most limited knowledge of the EPL table that this is a huge match for both sides. Manchester United are in the pole position to capture their 19th League Title. Tottenham, meanwhile, seek to finish in a Champions League spot for the second season running. The trouble for both teams is that there is a logjam at the top of the table. At the moment United are two points ahead of second place City, though they have two games in hand. Spurs sit fourth, four points behind third place Arsenal and one point in front of fifth place Chelsea. With the ...

Significant talking points following the match against Everton, certainly people want to share their thoughts on the match. Use this thread to do it.

I will start by saying that we looked extremely tired at the end of the game. Everton had an energy that we simply could not keep up with down the stretch. After they scored the go ahead goal our back line just looked exhausted. Additionally, van der Vaart specifically looked exhausted. Harry has repeatedly noted how he has to sub Rafa because he simply cannot go a full ninety. That was evident in this match. As things went on you could really notice a drop in vdV's pace, both on and off the ball. He wasn't nearly as active and didn't ...

All eyes were on the Champions League draw in Nyon, Switzerland this morning with most Spurs fans waking up with a sense of pride that we have even made it this far in the competition most "pundits" said we would struggle in. But feeling wary of what could lie in store in the last 16. Although we knew we could beat any of those teams on our day, there were some dangerous teams that we could be drawn against, and we got probably the most dangerous of them all - A.C Milan.

Milan are the 2nd most successful team in the competition, with 7 wins since the competitions inception. But over the last few years have been known as the poor relations of great city rivals Inter Milan ...

Tottenham Hotspur visit St. Andrews on Saturday 4th December to meet Birmingham City in the 16th round of the 2010-11 Premier League season.

This will be the 99th time the two teams have met.

The first meeting came in the old third round (today's fifth round) of the FA Cup in February 1906 in a 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane with Birmingham (the City would be added in 1943) wining the replay 2-0 at St. Andrews after extra time.

A Football League encounter followed in November 1908 (Tottenham's first season as a Football League club) with Spurs winning 4-0 at the Lane and drawing 3-3 away in the Second Division.

      The clubs met ...

A few weeks back I was talking with people over possible striking targets for Spurs which exist under the radar. I brought up the name of Gremio's Brazilian frontman who, in the last few seasons, just seems unable to stop scoring. If you were to go by his form in Brazil alone then you would take him in a snap but there are questions over whether players, particularly attacking players, coming from the Brazil league can adapt to English football.

I felt Jonas had a better chance than most. He's already 26, & that extra age & maturity can help when trying to settle abroad; he's been consistent in front of goal over a number of seasons now & is on the verge ...

. . . is a criticism I regularly seen directed at Harry. In all honesty I have no idea where people have formulated this opinion but I guess everyone reads things in their own way.

However, I have never seen precise evidence of Harry "shifting the blame off himself when it goes wrong yet happy to bask in the glory when it goes right" - it all seems to be interpretation to me. Personally I have never bought into this theory & cannot help feeling that it is born out of the exaggeration & the twisting of certain comments and reactions which Harry has made by a particular pocket of Spurs fans who had some sort of issue with Harry even before he arrived at Spurs (or ...

Tottenham Hotspur visit the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal in the 14th round of Premier League matches in the early Saturday match.

This will be the 238th time the two teams have met.

Spurs v Arsenal is now one of the great rivalries in World Football but the fixture had very different beginings back in November 1887 when the clubs first met in a friendly played on Tottenham Marshes.

Arsenal, then called Royal Arsenal, had been formed just a year earlier as Dial Square and were essentially the works team for the munitions factory situated in Woolwich, Kent, while Spurs who had been formed some five years earlier in 1882 still had many

It feels nice, I think we all must admit. Getting three points from a Premier League match is something we have come to expect, until our recent run here. Let's just all take the time to enjoy the feeling of getting three. There were plenty of positives to take from this match, first and foremost the fact that we scored 4 goals. This is something we have been missing lately, particularly in the league. It is a great sign to see us put up 4, even if it was against a Blackburn side that made several key mistakes that directly led to goals. The midfield was generally good and I also thought that Kaboul, Gallas, and Gomes all played well, particularly in the first half. Those two saves off the line ...

Tottenham Hotspur host Blackburn Rovers, who were one of the original 12 members of the Football League, in the 13th round of Premier League matches on Saturday afternoon.

This will be the 107th time the two teams have met.

Tottenham's association with Blackburn goes back to even before the two clubs played each other. The young lads who were the early members of Hotspur FC (later to be called Tottenham Hotspur) took the afternoon off from their friendly football fixtures to watch the 1884 FA Cup Final at the old Crystal Palace between Blackburn Rovers and Queens Park from Glasgow, Scotland.

The lads were so impressed with ...
