The 1982 FA CUP run, was a truly memorable time for me.

For the 2nd year running the FA CUP had been good to Spurs, as we never left London until the SEMI FINAL ,which was at VILLA PARK.

We had defeated ARSENAL (separate tale to come about this one), LEEDS and VILLA at WHITE HART LANE, before beating CHELSEA at STAMFORD BRIDGE in the 6[/SIZE]th round.

Now, all that stood between a 2nd consecutive FA CUP FINAL (and another outing for the COCKEREL), was LEICESTER CITY at VILLA PARK. I was 15.

I remember we drove up to VILLA PARK, and my dad bombing up the M1, singing his heart out, “SPURS ARE ON THEIR WAY TO WEMBLEY” (he really was a character, ...

I count myself as lucky. Very lucky indeed.

I was 14 when I went to my first FA Cup Final (and replay), with my dad.

It was 1981 and as the song went "WHEN STEVE WENT UP TO LIFT THE FA CUP" I was there......

I remember the Charity Shield (Community Shield now!!!) that followed, and the 1982 FA Cup Final and replay (against QPR), when yet again,as the song went "WHEN STEVE WENT UP TO LIFT THE FA CUP" I was there.

It was a magic time. Spurs were winning things, on a regular basis. But BIGGER things were to come to the Lane....

1984 saw the mighty Spurs get through to the UEFA CUP FINAL.

With the Premier League megapowers surely all going to spend this summer, the next two months could define the history of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club for the next 10 years. Why? Because we stand at a crossroads, ENIC can either prove that they see this club as a business and sell Luka Modric to Chelsea for a tidy sum and have the money vanish under the table and Tottenham return to being a "nearly" mid-table club with the odd flash-in-the-pan Carling Cup success and forever be in the shadow of our North London neighbours Arsenal. The other option is a far more sensible one for the number of knock on effects it could have. We can stand firm on the Modric saga, tell him he is not ...

I am a optimist, but over the years as a yid I have learnt to not get carried away, to not let the occasion get the better of me, even last year at the peak of things, when champions league was pretty much guaranteed as I walked into the city of manchester stadium expecting someone to bottle my face and violently try to perform gay sex acts on my corpse I remained calm and I remained pessimistic in many ways, always worried that as we all know with spurs we have a tendency to cock it up when we need it the most...

But now I feel something else coming over the horizon, sure results in the league have been disappointing but its one month, one month that will be soon forgotten another ...

Tottenham Hotspur host West Ham United at White Hart Lane on Saturday 19th March 2011 in the Premier League.

This will be the 239th meeting between the two clubs.

The first meeting came in the Thames and Medway League in September 1898 when West Ham were known as Thames Ironworks. That game at Northumberland Park resulted in a 3-0 home win for Spurs. Thames Ironworks won the return fixture 2-1 at the Memorial Grounds in East Ham.

The teams met again in the Southern League the next season with Spurs running out 7-0 winners at Northumberland Park and the return fixture ending in a 0-0 draw at the Memorial Grounds.

Realistically, who would win? This article would provide an analytical outlook on who might win the Carling Cup this afternoon.

Arsenal's form is good. However, they enter this match missing key players in the form of Fabregas (whose chronic injuries MUST be a worrying concern for Arsenal fans as too his pending departure to Quarter Final Champions League bound Barcelona this Summer) and Theo Walcott (who is only effective as a sprint runner more than anything else).

Birmingham City's form however, isn't and their last game was a 2-0 loss to Newcastle.

However, Birmingham's game plan will nullify Arsenal's style of football. Zigic will be Arsenal's ...

Tottenham Hotspur visit Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday 6th March 2011 for their 28th match of the 2010-11 Premier League season.

This will be the 95th time the two teams have met.

Sunday's match will pay tribute to the former Spurs & Wolves player Dean Richards, who sadly passed away on Saturday 26th February after an illness which cut short his professional football career.

The first meeting came on 1st September 1908 at White Hart Lane in what was Tottenham Hotspur's first ever Football League match in the old Second Division. Spurs got their League career off to a flying start with a 3-0 win over FA Cup holders Wolves, who were one ...

Since the start of the season, members from our forum have been asked to provide their ratings on a player’s performance after each Premier League game.

Forum members are given a chance to give a player a score from 3 (the highest/man of the match), to 1 (player’s performance was worth noting).

These ratings have been added up with two thirds of the season gone.

The process for calculation is simple:

      1. The players scores are added up, eg:

      Player A = 400
      Player B = 200
      Player C = 300
      Player D = 100

      2. The scores are then ranked into the top 3:

      Player A
      Player

Nothing has divided opinion among our supporters since Sugar's takeover in '91 than the enigma that is the Olympic stadium. Some are for it, some are against it. I myself was at first staunchly against the idea but it is coming round to me now, Haringey council has done nothing to help us regenerate their area for them, all we have heard from David Lammy is sob stories of how Spurs have broken promises and how disgraceful it is that we are even considering moving when he and his cronies haven't contributed a single penny to the project. There has to be some give and take in this scheme, we are regenerating a deprived area of London for them and the ungrateful sods are sitting back and expecting ...

The expectation was for an exciting, back-and-forth match featuring two of the best clubs in the Premier League on Sunday. Manchester United started the day at the top of the table and without a single loss in the league, whilst Tottenham sat squarely in the middle of the race for a top four finish. The expectation was also that many goals would be scored. The excitement was certainly present, the goals not so much. Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United kept the fans inside of White Hart Lane on the edge of their seats as both sides displayed the pace, skill, and awareness that they have come to been known for this season. Though the match ended in a goalless draw, either side could have come ...
