Apparently Spurs are among a number of clubs courting the Sheffield United young defender. Manchester City, Fulham, Aston Villa are all showing big interest as well as Spurs prompting the suggestion of a summer auction. However, I'm not convinced we need to be troubling ourselves with him, however good he may be. Naughton plays as a RB & can move into RM. Correct me if I'm wrong but we already have a ton of talent down our right-hand side, including our own talented youngster Chris Gunter. Personally I feel we should be concentrating our efforts in solving our left-hand side, but what do I know!Souce :Kyle Naughton: 10 things you need to know about the Tottenham, Manchester City and Fulham ...

Well, what a massively different experience this was. Compared to a year ago, not only did we not win, but there wasn't quite the same buzz about it all. It was a strange sort of day.

One that started early with a train up to London. I've wised up now. Buy yourselves a couple of tins from Tesco. Much cheaper than buying them on the train!

A spot of lunch at my sister's and we headed for Wembley. No doubt about it, the crowds felt bigger pre-match. Unlike last season when there were very few Chelsea fans in sight, this time around, there were plenty of ManUre supporters knocking around. Spurs fans too - obviously. Read More......... ...

Ah well, we all knew it was going to happen really. I mean, even with the most optimistic of optimistic minds, the chances of overturning a two goal deficit? Slim at the very best, and with the promised - expected changes - it was always going to be a tough task.

We broke with tradition and paid a visit to Rudolphs before the game. A couple of warm-up beers, and as we got into the stadium the team news was..... well, certainly not a shocker. Although seeing Huddlestone walk out as skipper..... that confused even me! I exchanged messages with John by the power of the mobile phone and I thought he was pretty spot on saying O'Hara would've been a good shout to skipper the side. I ...

The regulars will know that I've not been around much lately. Work is nuts. Its hampered my ability to get onto the forum as much as I'd like lately, but even that wasn't going to stop me getting to the North London Derby!

After a massive curry and several beers the previous night, the early start was not exactly appreciated! The snow was still lying pretty thick around Boringstoke, but the trains were running fine so after the customary couple of pints in The Coach and Horses before the game, we were set.Actually, just remembered a comedy moment on the train from Liverpool Street to White Hart Lane. Group of four supporters sat just in front of me, talking about travel, one of ...

Well punters, here I am again, kind of announcing my return by way of writing this match report. The regulars will know I've been away for a while. The world of work got the better of me in the lead up to Christmas, and some unexpected issues made for difficult times around New Year. Of course, I've missed a few matches in that time, but what better way to get back into the swing of things than a third semi-final in three years?

So with the promise of -2c temperatures I set off from home late afternoon, and had the usual pre-match warm-up. Couple of beers on the train, couple more at The Coach & Horses, washed down with a double whisky. Purely medicinal. Keep the cold out! ...

Walter Tull. Played for Tottenham 1909-1911. He became the first black outfield player to play in the First Division of the Football League when he signed for us and should have had a long and prosperouscareer at White Hart Lane had it not been for 2 things: racism and war. He was efeectively forced out of Spurs by rival fans who mocked our club to such an extent that it was decided to let him go. A sad day in North London because he was an extremely talented player whose only fault was that he was black. He fought in WW1 and became the first ever black officer in the British Army. He fought throughout the war, surviving virtually every big battle (Somme, Ypres, Passendale) and led his men at ...

The final UEFA Cup group game, and after a few nerves being jangled, we made it through.

As is customary for an evening game, I started proceedings with a couple of pints with my mate Dave. It was Christmas bonus time for him, but no champagne this year, so we stuck to a couple of Wallops at one of Davy's places in Moorgate.

Arriving at the ground - having had another couple of drinks near the ground - team news was..... well, bit uninspiring really. Problems at the back with Dawson the only fit, and eligible, centre half. Similar problems at the front with only Campbell able to play.

Still, should've been enough to see us progress to the knockout ...

Ladies and gentlemen, normal service is resumed!

After the week-long delays with the last two match reports, we're back to some semblance of normality with this one. Like I said in the West Ham report, the fact that I've had a cold over the weekend means I'm sat at home today so there's a bit more spare time to get this written up.

By the way, photos (the few of them I did take) will follow soon. Some problem or other connecting my mobile to the computer at the moment!

Saturday saw ManUre visit The Lane for the first time since that scoundrel Berbatov looked for pastures new at OT, and as with Liverpool, this was another late kick-off.

I have become very slack at writing these match reports. I can only apologise. It took me well over a week to get the Watford report posted, and here we are a week after the game at Upton Park and I'm only just posting it!

Work commitments coupled with a long, long delay on the trains earlier this week conspired to put a major spanner in the works for getting my thoughts from last Monday night penned. The train was so late my laptop battery died before I even got a chance to start!

No matter, we shall soldier on. Bear with me, the ManUre report will be up later today. A good dose of cold has put paid to going into work today so I'm using the time well!

Right, second attempt to get this Watford match report posted after the recent blue screen issues.....

So, this one's over a week old and we've now beaten West Ham too so how many people will stick with this is anybody's guess, but for completeness I'll write it up anyway!

Last Wednesday saw us take a trip to Vicarage Road with a spot in the League Cup semi-finals at stake. Now, as well travelled as I am, Vicarage Road is not a ground I've ever been to before. Perhaps the reality is that I'm not that well travelled after all! Last time Watford were in the top flight I (luckily, some would say) missed the no score bore there.

      This was actually about ...
