Broadband Speed Test | ZDNet UK
Your broad band provider will also have its own speed test pages so they may suggest you use theirs.

It sounds like your router may not be able to match the speed of your internet connection. I would suggest looking at the option of upgrading it?
I've moved onto 50 MB broadband and basically my old routers "802g" (could only handle 20MB/S) weren't able to keep up so had to get a "802n" (could handle upto 300 MB/S) router.

Javi, also check and make sure your PS3 is set for DMZ. easy way is to assume if your pc is hard cabled to the router then it will grab the first IP. (say 192.168.1.100) while any wireless device will grab whatever is next (so the .101) so if your PS3 is the only wireless device just have the 192.168.1.101 as the DMZ (de-militarize zone) and all is good. i ran into a couple things from time to time where a router reset is needed for my PS3 but nothing out side of that. if ya need any additional help though let me know and i can try and walk ya through some things.
